Avoiding Thanksgiving

I feel like I'm being unpatriotic or something, but I am finding myself looking forward to being out of the country on Thanksgiving. This year when offered the chance to travel to Acapulco once again for Turkey Day, I jumped at the chance. It's not that I have something against giving thanks for all I have, pilgrims or cornucopias even, I'm just against what Thanksgiving seems to have become. And if that makes me un-American, so be it.
