I Left You There

"I Left You There", a poem of lyrical and rhythmic style, expresses death´s universal experience and aftermath: grief, confusion, memory, acceptance, and survivor guilt. Originally written for my Mother, I realized later that I had also written this poem for myself. This expression became her last Mother´s Day gift, and I knew she would not mind if the writing was not perfect. Love and memory rarely are exact, yet through them, we continue forward.
