Writer Guidelines |
Before submitting your articles to Constant-Content, please read and abide by the following guidelines:
• All articles must be free of grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors and contain no awkward wording or sentence structure issues.
• Articles must contain introductions and conclusions in addition to the body and contain information that is useful to the reader.
• Blog posts are still "articles," but in a less-formal style and may be in first person voice. They still contain a beginning, middle, and end, and offer something useful to the reader.
• Articles should be written with a professional vocabulary and not contain any derogatory remarks or innuendos towards anyone--including those that my be construed as offensive by any person of a certain race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion.
• If you wish to receive a byline, you must include your name in the article. Please note that we do not accept articles with author bios or sig lines.
• Promotional articles, articles with promotional language, or articles that contain author contact information will not be considered.
• Links or website addresses are not permitted except by customer request.
• A category must be chosen for your article. Unless your article is for a Private Request, the article must be placed in the most appropriate category under “Articles,” “Blogs,” “Reviews,” or “Tutorials.” Premium articles are hand-picked by editors. Articles should not be placed directly into this category.
• Fiction or poetry will not be considered unless by specific customer request. Personal narratives are generally not considered.
• Word count must be specified. Please do not use commas when specifying word count.
• Price must be specified. The “usage” price field must always contain a price, even if your article is being offered under other licences.
• A short summary must consist of an overall description of the article. This should be at least 30 words and may not be copied and pasted from the body of the article.
• A long summary is required. If you do not copy and paste a portion of your article into the long summary box, your work will be automatically rejected. The long summary should be about 1/3-2/3 of the article. Long summaries should be formatted according the formatting requirements below.
• Use your spell and grammar checker, but don’t depend on them to find every mistake. Sometimes they are wrong. Proofread and proofread again. If you have problems editing your own work, have someone proofread it for you.
• Be professional. When a client purchases and posts your work on their website, you want it to reflect your professionalism.
• Plagiarism will not be tolerated. This will result in your work being rejected and you being banned from the Constant-Content website. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Required Format:
