Upon receiving his undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Victor Hess (pen name) temporarily set journalism aside for politics. As a campaign staffer and political consultant, Hess mapped and executed strategy on a number of high-profile campaigns on the federal, state and local level. From there, he worked as an aide to two leading elected officials with a primary focus on media and community relations.
Hess, a licensed real estate broker with a master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University, currently works as a lobbyist for a leading real estate trade group.
He resides in the Chicago suburbs with his wife and two children.
