Writer Biography
I am a graduate of Colgate University with degrees in neuroscience and writing. I am experienced in copyediting, proofreading, and substantial editing. Currently, I edit academic articles for non-native English speakers so that their work can be submitted for publication to prestigious scientific journals. Additionally, I help high school students brainstorm ideas and edit their college application essays. On top of that, I help job seekers write eye-catching cover letters.
My favorite topics for my own writing involve humorous creative nonfiction essays. My portfolio includes a travel blog about the six months I spent in New Zealand; a 40-page narrative about my time in a neurosurgery internship; and my most recent work, a blog called Anti-Epic Rachel, in which I chronicle mundane events of life in a humorous way.
