Writer Biography

Gryphon Adams specializes in engaging, results-oriented content for websites. He's an entrepreneur in California and his core topics include business, health, home, garden, travel and green living.
Adams has contributed to the "San Francisco Chronicle," Pawnation, Livestrong.com, Livestrong Nutrition, and private clients' websites, including educational articles and projects related to science and medical research. He has consulted on educational, creative and health projects, including presenting workshops for the San Francisco Department of Public Health and on books, including Frances Mayes' "The Discovery of Poetry Teacher's Handbook." His most recent work appears on SFGate, AZCentral, the Houston Chronicle and Chron.com.

He completed a BA in Social Science with a minor in Classical Archaeology and an MFA in Creative Writing with a minor in Holistic Health. He taught Creative Writing at San Francisco State University.

He's also a student of Buddhism and has a strong background in body-mind modalities and tools for self-discovery including yoga, the Tibetan 5 Rites, meditation, EFT, holotropic breathwork, massage, hypnosis, self-hypnosis, rebirthing, and divination techniques including pendulums, tarot cards, the Medicine Deck, Animal Speak and the I Ching.
