Writer Biography

Gary Barnett is a retired business owner, investment advisor and estate planner who managed money for clients throughout the United States for over 30 years. Gary has also owned two other businesses, including a joint venture shipping vehicles to France. It has been a wild ride at times.

He is also an accomplished writer and has written about a full range of topics concerning freedom, liberty, history, politics and economics. In addition to his website and blog, he has published for Lew Rockwell, The Future of Freedom Foundation, The Foundation for Economic Education, The Ludwig von Mises Institute, and several other publications the past 13 years. He has also appeared as a guest on many national internet and radio shows.

But enough of the business stuff. Gary currently lives in Lewistown, Montana, with his wonderful wife Yoshie and son Leo, and loves the outdoors, cooking and fine food, dogs, beaches, fly fishing the world, music, exotic travel, and of course writing. More hobbies anyone?

At this point in his life, Gary plans to follow his passion to write, hopefully more from a warm beach setting than in the snow. At least he can wear shorts and flip flops while pounding out articles on his computer when a blizzard is wrecking havoc outside in the wilds of Montana.
