Help!

Post by grouchy »

Can anyone think of reasons why I cannot copy and paste from a doc. or txt. file into the CC article submission form? Copy does seem like it's working (it highlights the area) but Control-V doesn't seem to work for me today. Thanks for any help from those who know more than I do, which is most.

Strange. I just tried and it worked fine. Maybe your 'v' key is stuck? Try using the menu command from the Internet Explorer menu: Edit > Paste.

Check your security settings. Some of the recent updates for IE will automatically reset your security settings and not let you type or paste anything into an online text box. It's annoying as hell, and the old method of uninstalling and then reinstalling doesn't work.

How do I that? (Don't be amazed at my lack of knowledge. Everything I do on a computer is from a need-to-know standpoint.) ;-) Thanks.

^^^ x2

It could very well be that one of your keys is stuck. Try restarting your computer and see if that helps. If not, maybe run a virus scan... its possible a virus could cause such behavior.

Good Luck,

Sam

It's still going on? That's got to be so frustrating. Let us know what you've tried and hopefully what has worked.
