I don't really mind if a client offers less than I hoped to get for an article -- especially if it's been sitting there for a while with no takers. I usually don't tick the "accept offers" box when I first submit an article; if it's still unsold after a couple of months, though, I often open the piece up to offers. If something doesn't sell after a few months, then maybe it genuinely wasn't worth as much as I thought.

I have other clients now, so I don't post a lot of my work here anymore -- but when I do, CC is a great source of both income and helpful editorial feedback.
