DOg stories?

I wrote an article for a request a couple weeks ago but it was rejected and I was told to resubmit it under the correct category. The request was gone and even the whole article was gone. It wasn't under 'rejected' or anything. So I resubmitted it to the general pool and was again told to put it in the right category. This time the editor specified to put it in "dog stories." I had put it under "dogs." I don't see a category for 'dog stories." What am I missing??
