Are photos being downloaded by customers? searching photos?

I went into the photo area, looked at some recent and earlier pages and didn't see any downloads. I also noted that the search function on the home page seemed only for text articles. What is CC doing to let customers know photos are available? Many thanks for the tips on captioning the photos, definitely helpful.
