Cathartic Writing

Post by Zabrina »

I just finished a 400-word article on teaching children about disabilities, rather than dragging them away from the disabled person and telling them not to be rude. It's something that always makes me grind my teeth, as I miss a chance to educate a child on hearing impairments (I have one, and they're not used to seeing people with hearing aids who aren't as old as their grandmas ). That child might later grow up to be an adult who's prejudiced against disabled people, simply because he or she never knew any better. Boy, did it feel good to write. :D (If it sells, I'll feel ten times better!)

When was the last time you wrote an article on something that really gets to you, something you wish you could say to everyone or shout to the world? If it hasn't been for a while, here's a mini-challenge for you -- write one today. :)
