"original content" question

Post by grouchy »

Hi, Ed ~
I submitted "A New Generation of E-Readers on the Horizon: When, Where, How — and Why?" last night, which was rejected due to a concern about original content. I just ran it through Copyscape hoping to learn what I had inadvertently copied, and all that came back was a reference in a scientific paper about positively and negatively charged black and white particles.

This isn't a proprietary phrase -- in fact I found an explanation of E Ink's "printing process" at several different websites, all referring to this same phenomenon. I actually used my own words for everything else in the process so as not to "copy" words like "microcapsules" or anything else that could be construed as not original.

If this is not the issue you were concerned about, can you remember what was? Otherwise I have no idea how to proceed. :?

Thanks mucho,
Marge

Marge,

The document you submitted looked to be notes rather than a final draft of the article. This may be the source of the problem.

Thanks,
Ed
