question about rejection

Wondering why an article I wrote in response to a public request was rejected. It was entitled "How to Get By on Less Money." The system would not take it under the requested title, "How to Get By on Less," because someone had already submitted one under that name. Are we doing something different here???

I did the article right away to get it considered and it sat in the queue all weekend. Was sort of surprised it sat so long, unless the customer bought before I even submitted??? I did not find it. Still do not find it. In any event, I thought the article could sell to another customer.

The guidelines require special fonts now I see. Can't do that with a text document. Have had customer request TXT when I submitted in DOC format because I use and MAC and it dfidn't work well for them in DOC.

Would like to resubmit this and get if approved, if possible. Please advise.

You did not submit the complete document, as stated in your rejection notice. Only three or four lines appeared in the document submitted.

Don't know it's worth the trouble of resubmitting, frankly, since the public request appears to have been filed. Apparently there's a glitch or error somewhere -- either because it's a text file, or was left open, or whatever. Thanks anyway.

You might look into the Mac version of Open Office. I haven't tried the program, but many people I know swear by it (mainly because it's free).

Text format shouldn't be a problem unless your "word wrap" function is turned off. When that happens, the file looks like one huge line when someone else opens it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did now know of such a software. I have been successful using Text Edit and submitting in the past, but I do not think it is ideal for the customer.
