Yamen,

It's not a good idea to add an attachment or post the entire article here in the forums. The forums are indexed by search engines, so anyone can find the article with a simple search. For copyright purposes, I'd suggest that you ask someone to look at it privately (via a private message on the main CC site), or use the constructive criticism thread in Author Exchange without posting the entire article. (It's also good to delete that partial once someone has responded.)

No problem. I'm coming up on my first month here, and I'll pass along what I've picked up so far. I've also had to deal with copyright and first rights issues in the past.

Never post your work online anywhere unless it's a fully password protected, non-indexed site. Even then be careful. (Unless of course you meant to post it for everyone in the world to read.) That's part of the reason I have put roots down here. Not only is the main site password protected, but the site's owners and administrators are looking out for our copyrights as well. Nothing online is 100% secure, but this is one of the best sites I've come across over the years (and I've tried quite a few).

Some of the sites I've published on over the years didn't even bother to check the files for any type of errors. They just threw the work up. Here they actually care about the quality of the writing. I especially like that I don't have to spend 90% of my time stuffing envelopes and emailing publishers only to wait for weeks or months to find out if the work was accepted.

Authors who write for Constant Content are responsible for finding their own mistakes.

Hi

I've been writing here for several months now and agree with everything that Barry has suggested. My suggestion is to proofread everything twice. Even on the forums, you can practice the skill and craft of writing by ensuring there are no errors. I noticed several errors within your forum question. If you are unable to spot the errors yourself, then ask other authors to help you in proofreading through the email contacts on the site. Poor Ed has enough work to do and cannot give more than brief reasons for the rejections. It is important to learn from the experience and change what you are doing to prevent continued rejections and risk being locked out of the site. Like any trade, writing is a skill that is both learnt and continually refined through experience.

Good luck.
