I feel so lucky to have three of my articles accepted, I've even sold one already. I joined some months ago but felt highly intimidated by the reputation of the standards on this site. Getting my submissions accepted has done wonders for my confidence, and I will be submitting more articles.
Getting paid for something I enjoy is strong motivation and the supportive environment is a definite plus.
