Hello:
I just registered as an author here this evening. I currently write articles for associated content. AC was the first legitimate site that I discovered that paid for a variety of articles. I do enjoy writing for them, but there are several things that I do not like about them.
I often feel that I am underpaid for the writing that I sell to AC. However, after perusing the AC forum I discovered that I was receiving higher offers than most of the site's content producers.
At AC there is a large emphasis on producing articles as quickly as possible. I've often read the phrase: "How many articles can you write in an hour? My best right now is 3." That disturbs me. In my opinion, unless an author is an expert on the topic they are writing about and can type at the speed of light they could not possibly write a high quality, engaging, and error free article in twenty minutes. The authors were pushing themselves to maintain this speed to make up for AC's low offers. I do not think that AC sells very much content; it appears that they simply post it on their website to generate ad revenue. I do not wish to become an assembly line for articles. I would rather take my time to write an excellent article for a higher price than write several thrown together articles for peanuts to try and eke out a living.
Constant content, on the other hand, will allow me to set my own prices. That is wonderful! Considering that I understand better than anyone what went in to writing my articles, I should be the one to set the price. It will also allow me to charge more for an intensely researched, large body of work. It is not worth my time to attempt such a project for AC.
AC also suffers from a glut of poorly written articles. These articles are full of errors and are very poorly written in terms of word choice and layout. I feel that my reputation as a writer is tarnished because I have content that is often listed right next to articles that appear to have been written by a child in elementary school.
In contrast, I have heard very positive things about the quality of the writing provided by Constant Content. I spent some time looking through many of the listed articles' long descriptions and was very pleased with what I found. I feel that if I were to write for Constant Content I could be proud of that fact. Currently, I do not like to show potential employers my work for AC, because they will see all of the inferior writing displayed at the site and possibly hold it against me. I will not have that problem here!
So, now that I've spelled out what I think is so great about this site I'll post a bit of information about myself. I am a mother of 3 beautiful children. I own and operate a bath and body product business that I built from the ground up; aromatherapy and natural cosmetics are a passion of mine. I am also a fire dancer, meaning I dance while manipulating objects that are on fire. Art, performance art in particular, is another passion of mine. I write about these subjects in addition to extensive coverage of civil rights issues.
I'm very excited about Constant Content! I was wondering if there was anyone out there who would mind reading some of my articles before I attempt to submit them. I do plan to submit one article I've already written quite soon just to see the process and the response that I get. However, I am still unsure of exactly what Constant Content is looking for and would love to have a proof-reading buddy that has some experience here. I would gladly return the favor. Thanks in advance for any replies!
Well, that's it. I look forward to writing here.
Hi everyone!

You'll like it here, it's fun, everyone's nice, and it's what you make it. It's different than AC for sure - you'll work harder for your money but you won't be insulted with $2 offers either. While payment varies by client, some assignments can be quite lucrative. Good luck on your first submission. Go for it!
