Things to remember on Memorial Day
Today our pastor at church brought out some things we should remember as Americans tomorrow to celebrate Memorial Day. Thought I'd share these with you all.... 1) Jesus died over 2,000 years ago to provide freedom from sin and freedom to live eternity with Him in heaven when we die. The price was pa...

Where I'm from
I'm from Lancaster, South Carolina. You know.... you might be a red neck if you've ever been accused of lying through your "tooth"

Love to travel
Hi Everyone, I love to travel too. Several years ago my dad started doing travel photography. He takes me and my two sons along sometimes - it's great! So far we were able to go to Niagara Falls in Canada several times, Florida, Natural Bridge in Virginia, West Virginia mountains in the fall (beauti...

Hope it helps!
Hi Lizaj, I hope it helps you too. :-) I would wake up with horrible pain and numbness in my hands and wrists several times a week. It was really bad. Now I still occasionally have a little numbness in my right hand when I wake up, but it's not painful, and it goes away after I move around a bit and...

To Ed - Carpal Tunnel
Hi Ed, I had carpal tunnel in my hands, and changing both my keyboard and mouse cured it (for now). The mouse I got remains stationary while I move a ball with my index finger. There are clickers on the sides of the mouse, which I click with my thumb. The mouse never moves, so my wrist is not under ...

I agree
I agree. We can write on the same topic as many times as we want - as long as we don't copy our own work or someone else's. For example, I've written many articles about web design, but from different angles. Some were even the same angle but provided newly found information. Many topics could proba...

Forums
I think it's wise not to get too personal anywhere online - especially in a forum or guest book. These are usually open for everyone to read even if they never join. And, they're picked up by search engines easily - not good!

article formatting
I guess this is another good reason to be a ghost writer. This has happened to me many times. I just let it go. The site owner or webmaster is responsible for what their site looks like. We can't help it if our article is not formatted right. I don't think it looks bad on us unless we own the site t...

requests
I am guessing that there are probably requests that never get filled. Like some of the technical ones that are also low paying. Noone is going to learn programming just to write about it for $10 per article - do you think? :-) On the other hand, if someone is paying good money, I'm willing to try to...

Etiquette
Hi, I'm the one who posted that message. I just wanted to let the requestor know that I wouldn't be able to work on it until Monday, so they would know that more articles would be coming, and hopefully will leave the request open until I can work on one too. I just couldn't start on them immediately...

Tips
Hi, The best way to market yourself is to have your own web site and promote it in the search engines and to potential customers (but don't spam). Only write to those who are welcoming submissions - by email and regular mail if necessary. Write some articles to place on your site for examples or for...

I agree
I agree too that this is not a welcoming price for full rights - usage maybe, even for very short articles. It's not the time it takes really, it's the future results that will matter. The buyer will use your work for years to come to make money. You never get to use it again if you sell it for full...

Thanks!
Thanks! That does help. I wish I had someone here to read my work. I'm a single mother with 13 and 10 year old sons - not likely candidates for proofreading right now!! But..... maybe one day!

Proofreaders, anyone?
Hi Chris and writers, I'm wondering if any writers here use a proofreader, and how it is working for you. I am considering whether it would be worth it to hire someone to proofread all my articles before submitting them here or anywhere else. I've had some disappointing things to happen, such as onc...
