Is there any time limit on how long an article can stay in waiting status? Some of mine have been there for months...

Re: How do we report CC income?
I'm in the UK. I report the amount that I get in GBP after converting from USD via Paypal as self employed income. Paypal fees must be a deductible business expense as I can't do business without paying them, so I don't see the point in converting my income using the official exchange rate and them ...

Re: Are Editors Subject Matter Experts?
I'd love to know how CC hires its editors. Other sites that I work for hire from their pool of writers, and I've really enjoyed working as an editor after being hired that way on several sites. However, I've been on CC for years, and even though I get a lot of private requests passed to me by the ac...

Re: So How Are Sales?
Quiet for me too, not just here but on other sites. From speaking to other writers, it seems that a slight slowdown is quite common in January.

Re: Run-on obsession?
I find that if you write for requests, particularly if you submit near the deadline, then the nit picking goes away completely. I've had articles accepted with all kinds of typos that I've only noticed later. If you're submitting to the general catalogue, it seems totally random whether or not somet...

Re: Writers pools
I love the fact that CC allows writers to have as many articles as they like in their queue. I'm on a project team for one client who posts jobs with a deadline of over a month. It's very useful to be able to claim those articles so that both I and the client know that I'll be working on them, but n...

Re: Doing the Math: How Steady Is Writers' Pool Work?
It comes and goes, although it's been very good lately. Before the current energy/mobile/broadband/insurance/credit project started, Eric sent out an email asking about writers' availability to work on those articles "over the next 2 months". That was in October, so who knows what will hap...

Well done Kevin, that's really impressive! Do you tend to write in specific categories, for requests, or about anything that takes your fancy?
Is CC Canadian? I never realized, and I've been here for 2 years! I always assumed it was US-based.

Re: New content submission system – easier to use and improv
I'm still getting articles back for extremely minor changes, such as fixing an HTML tag, which do not affect the content of the article in any way. It appears that even though editors CAN now make changes, they are still sending articles back instead.

Interesting. I just copied and pasted https://plus.google.com/117651920524340 ... rel=author into my browser and it went straight to your profile page at https://plus.google.com/117651920524340015983/posts

Re: Do we get paid today?
It's the first of the month today, so we should get paid. In my experience, CC payments are occasionally a day or so late, so don't panic if it's not come through by this evening. You'll get it.

Re: Byline
Full rights means that the buyer owns the article outright and you no longer have any claim to it. It's as if the client wrote the article and you had nothing to do with it. In fact, it's very common for clients to post articles that they have bought with full rights under their own byline, stating ...

Re: Has anyone noticed really fast acceptance?
Most articles I submit are accepted within an hour or two, sometimes within 5 minutes. It seems to be quickest if I'm writing for a pool/private request, and especially if the deadline is approaching. I suspect the editors prioritise according to urgency.

Re: Bad Editor here! A Suggestion to CC
Hence, I would like to suggest that the editors be allowed to edit out minor errors that occur on an article. Very sensible idea. I'm an editor on a couple of other content sites and being able to do this dramatically speeds up the flow of work from writer to client. Second suggestion that I would ...

Re: More articles needed on car, home and life insurance
Is there any chance we could get more warning of big orders like this? I'm in the UK and I frequently get emails from Eric asking for "XX articles by the end of today" - but the email usually arrives at around 9 pm, when I've already finished writing for the day. I could easily help if giv...
