Re: Mid-month payment for December?
Yes, I got mine on Dec 14th (I'm in the UK). I had a similar issue a couple of months ago: the mid-month payment just didn't appear. I sent a message via the website. It took me about 24 hours to get a response but the money was in my bank almost immediately after that. I hope your problem is solved...

A quick question about categories
I know that some categories are more popular (in terms of both sales and numbers of articles uploaded) but does anyone else struggle with which category an article should go under? As an example, I wrote an article on how parents can help a child who self-harms. Does that go under parenting or menta...

Re: Is article age factored into CC's internal search engine
I'm not sure about seasonally specific articles, as I don't tend to write many of those, but I do know that of all the catalogue articles I've submitted, 21% of them have taken more than a year to sell. The fact that a fifth of my content sells after 12 months or more would suggest that it's still p...

Re: Articles Sent Back for Opinion-Based Issues?
I'm not the most prolific author, so my experience may not be typical, but I get very few articles sent back purely due to an editor's opinion. I had a rejection recently where I'd described an article as "informative" in the short summary and the editor thought this was breaching the rule...

Hi Alyssa, welcome! Have a browse around the forums - there's not massive amounts of activity here, but if you've got any questions, someone's almost certainly asked them before

Re: First Person (Sigh)
Oh yeah. I've got used to writing "Everyone knows..." instead of "We all know..." but when I'm editing I still find the odd "Let's say..." when I'm introducing an example of something. It's so much less formal that "For example...", while "Imagine that......

Percentage for long summary
I've had a trawl through the forum looking for advice on what percentage of my article the long summary should be. There seem to be two conflicting points of view: a low percentage prevents plagiarism through image-to-text converters, or a high percentage (ideally 100%) drives sales. I'm more inclin...
