I can access my articles through being signed in and going to my content, but I'm wondering how someone not signed in would do it as I doubt the same link would work for someone not signed in.
I'll try to figure it out not signed in and get back to you.

Re: When you have no professional certificates
You don't have to have one. It is more if someone is looking for someone in a certain field. That being said, I'm a certified Life Coach, but that option wasn't listed so I couldn't check it off!

Not in Search Results
My article isn't coming up in the search results when I look for it not logged in as though I was a buyer. I typed in my name (not the one I'm using here) and the category and 2 articles show up but not this one. This one was done for a request but the deadline passed. I want to refer someone to it.

How do I refer a client to a specific article I've written?
Someone on Twitter is talking about a theme I have an article on. I want to send the link and ask if they'd be interested in buying it. How do I do that for one specific article?

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better
Lysis, you say you'd take an hour, but what about research? I have written on online marketing tools often, but those fields change rapidly and this client wanted a few things mentioned that are pretty new terms. Are you suggesting I should not have taken the project because I wasn't familiar enough...

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better
If this question is about writing for the general pool versus private, let me say I think I just tried my last private project. Not worth the disappointment! I have had a couple in the past that went well. The last two, however, pissed me off. One wanted a total rewrite after I'd slogged to meet the...

Re: Proofreading and Editing Guides
Thanks for the input Celeste. Also I was thinking it might be easier to look things up with an online version where I can search and arrive at the right page instead of having a book version. Any thoughts on that?

The word e-mail vs. email and spaces after periods
Personally I feel the wave of grammar is to lighten up. Still, there are tough-to-the-core editors that seem to stick to stringent rules. Recently a classmate's paper was criticized for her using "email" as one word instead of "e-mail". I Googled the question and found arguments ...

Proofreading and Editing Guides
I'm taking some training to become a more proficient proofreader and editor. I'm Canadian but probably would work globally. The organization I'm training with suggests using the Chicago Manual of Style first then the AP Style book. I notice CC suggests Hodges' Harbrace Handbook. Should I purchase on...

Re: Another Grammar Question or Two
I felt it was clumsy too. I had to read it two or three times which really shouldn't happen.

SJ Hillman, actually I had Googled it and got what you did. Do you think a "trend" is something you can put something into?

Re: Grammar Blocks
Judith that is what I learned here from the editors on CC about backyard/back yard. Funny in a proofreading professional's blog post the last tip she offered was that it was ALWAYS one word. And I've signed up to take a course from her. Oh my.

In House or In-House
Trying to improve and become a certified proofreader or editor, but finding so many conundrums. For instance the title for this section of the forum did not add a hyphen to In-House. What is correct? Do professional editors also miss things?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Lauren,
My first assignment to you is to decide if proofread should be one word or two?

Re: Rewriting your own work
I often use similar themes but try to put a fresh twist on it. Some topics can't help but be a little repetitive such as budgeting, real estate, home staging. Some of those buyers would expect some conformity.
So my answer is "it depends".
