Re: Stolen article

cashwriter, I hope you don't leave us for good. Like the others have said, theft happens everywhere. This is actually a relatively safe zone compared to other sites I've written for, and the higher earning potential makes it worth it. No matter where you write, your content will get stolen. I choose...

Re: Stolen article

Hey, that DMCA link does make me feel better. Amy, that's surprising but relieving! I sent an email to AC and then support here on CC, but it was already taken down by the time Support checked it out! My email template (it's kind of sad that I have one now) is below. You guys can use it if you...

Re: A Coyote Ate My Cat

Oh my... how awful! I'm so sorry for you and the kids, and Priscilla. I can't imagine losing one of my two beloved babies (both approaching six years old now  ) to a coyote. :( *hugs*

Re: Romanticism

Might seem like a stupid suggestion, but what about "idealized" itself? "Idealistic", "Utopian", "fanciful" or "idyllic" all have different shades of meaning that might work, depending on your article topic. :)

Re: Clean Out That In Progress Folder

Haha! I don't drink, but I act like it when I'm exhausted. I was going to post an example of the awful ideas I come up with at times, but I was too embarrassed. I'm down to 78 ideas... because I keep coming up with more! How annoying. :P

I liked the piece on scarves! Fashion writing so doesn't come naturally for me, either. You did great. :D

Re: he/she vs. they, etc.

How do y'all fix this kind of common error? "When a person chooses a car, they usually look at price first." Do you choose a gender and stick with it throughout the piece? "he usually..." Do you switch back and forth with genders? Do you put "he or she" or "he/she...

Re: Clean Out That In Progress Folder

Totally guilty here... I have nearly 80 files in my in progress folder! I didn't think I had that many... I'm working on clearing them all out, writing/finishing/submitting a few at a time. :D

Re: August Challenge for Authors

 Gave me a much-needed chuckle. Yes, "that" kind of sugar daddy. An article about chocolate bars would definitely be firmly inside my comfort zone... actually, now that you've suggested it... *scurries off*

Re: August Challenge for Authors

I did it! :) I was kinda reluctant to, but I wrote an article on how to find a sugar daddy... and found out that I do have a comfort zone.

Re: New to Constant content

What I usually do is set the article aside for a few days, then review the reason for rejection carefully, and then reread the article with that in mind. It can be hard to learn to proofread your own work, but practice will help you! :) In the meantime, you might want to consider reviewing grammar a...

Cathartic Writing

I just finished a 400-word article on teaching children about disabilities, rather than dragging them away from the disabled person and telling them not to be rude. It's something that always makes me grind my teeth, as I miss a chance to educate a child on hearing impairments (I have one, and they'...

Re: $1.00 / 500 words

Yes, the ones that target people in the USA and Canada bother me, too. I think they're trying (and succeeding) to get beginners who don't know where to begin looking for freelance jobs and stumble on those boards. Then the beginners say, "Hey, cool, I can get paid for writing!" without rea...

Re: New to Constant content

Welcome to CC! I have some initial concerns -- if your articles have similar grammar and spelling to your post, you might need to review a little English before submitting them. Personally, I always find this lesson useful when I need to review concepts. (For example, you didn't capitalize the word ...
