Re: I Wish I'd Discovered CC Earlier!
I wish I had known about it when I had a real job and used it for extras. LOL I kinda use the money as extra money too but it's more like backup when things are slow on Upwork. Last year, I bought a computer on CC earnings. It's nice for extra cash. I took a year off once and wrote nothing but had a...

Re: Unfeasibly 'popular' articles
I don't see anything usable from that data other than having more views means you have a better chance of it selling. I charge more than most people here, so I don't expect things to sell quickly. I had anything from a few views to 700 views before a sale, and I can't say there is anything I can ide...

Re: Egotistical Editor?
My personal guess is that they have editors that cover certain areas. Can you guys say what sections? I tend to avoid sections I have problems with too but really I only write for one section mostly, so if I have problems I'm forced to disappear for a time. :-\

Re: so how are sales these days?
PMFJI, but how on earth do you make any money on Upwork? I thought some of the requests on here offered unrealistic $$, but Upwork seems to be a race to the lowest possible price. I've tried People Per Hour as well, but never got a proposal accepted. If you're not one of the first few to post, it s...

Re: so how are sales these days?
I've noticed when I write about things that haven't been done to death things work out pretty well.

Re: so how are sales these days?
In my experience, both catalogue sales and private requests have been steadily drying up on Constant Content for more than a year. I posted a few months back about this in the forums, and some of the top writers agreed with me. In my case, the final nail in the coffin was the scrapping of usage rig...

Re: so how are sales these days?
thanks, Hired. I think you and I basically talk to each other on here. xD That's good to hear. I just finally bit the bullet and created my own site in a specific niche that I write. I figure CC is still a good place to make some side money. I did so freakin well last February and March. Even sold q...

Re: so how are sales these days?
oh, I should specify that I'm talking about the open catalog. Not much of a fan of private stuff on here. I say that but did one in January. LOL But it was something within my skill set so not too terrible.

so how are sales these days?
Last year in Feb and March, I made the most I ever made in a month on here. In August, the batch I uploaded sold terribly and other writers were complaining about sales. I focused my efforts elsewhere but I've been uploading again. Only uploaded 5 I think so far and sold one, which is cool. Does the...

oh wall damn I'm SUPER lost now. hahahaha
When I first started, the editors would use technical terms and I'd have to Google them.

Re: Repeated No-Pay Clients
I think one of the best things I ever read about being successful is being able to turn down jobs. So many people just take whatever they can get, so when the good stuff comes around they have no time.

Re: Repeated No-Pay Clients
I keep saying this but I would not take writer pool requests unless it's 1 or 2 and it's not a lot of time lost should they not pay and then they must be generic enough to sell in the catalog. I don't know what has changed, but this is much more common than it used to be. Just stick to the catalog. ...
