Revision requests
I got a revision request after the customer bought my article, I accepted the request, made the changes and resubmitted on the 'revision request' tab. Does the customer then usually communicate acceptance or rejection? I haven't heard anything and the original article listed in my content hasn't upd...

Re: Typo
No, go for it! One day they may get round to correcting it and it is certainly irritating. The typo survived a complete revamp of the site fairly recently, so don't hold your breath though.

Re: Typo
Yes wouldn't it be great if they corrected that! It's certainly been pointed out to them more than a few times before, but you never know, so they say.

Re: Casting calls
It's great that you are doing so well, and your vivid writing style together with your technical expertise must be a winning combo. For generalists like me, it isn't so much of a seller's market!

Re: Casting calls
Maybe so, but given the variations, i wouldn't take the time to communicate without some sign that the price isn't silly.

Re: Casting calls
Yes, I suppose one can assume that the ones that mention no price will pay ridiculously low amounts. But there are so many of these things popping up that it's frustrating not to know what they are offering. Ultimately though it's only curiosity, as I am not going to apply for the priceless ones sin...

Casting calls
Could customers be asked to say how much they will be prepared to pay, when they put out a request for articles or a casting call? It's probably not just me who's put off from applying when there's no indication at all of whether an application would be worthwhile.

Re: ANOTHER Flaky Client
Agreed, Abbamay, if they sorted out the line of communication with the writers, that could be the key to a better site in other ways as well. I would suggest it too except I'm not sure I have access to the survey...do you know where I could find it? And good luck from me too!

I think the reason must be that July 1 is Canada Day. Hoping for a Monday payday.

Re: Numerals
Never happened to me, but maybe it's an over-rigid application of a rule I saw here somewhere, that numbers up to ten should be spelled and only after that should they be written as numerals. It seems really wrong for a list article, and they must have accepted several million of those with normal n...

Re: Stay or Go?
But where is that? Up sh** creek without a paddle.
It would be easier to accept as a democratic decision if the leave side had not won by repeating outright lies, now admitted as such, and by fostering xenophobia.
Oh well, I suppose this isn't the place really!

Re: Stay or Go?
Thanks. Extremely sad actually, it was good being part of Europe, and the future now looks rather like another big fat recession and more austerity stretching into the future. Thanks Brexiters! The Europeans who work over here are worried and a lot of them getting ready to leave, feeling no longer w...

I have argued about it so much that I don't know what I think any more. So I'll just vote the way I thought i should when I last knew what I thought.

Stay or Go?
Any UK writers with a view on the referendum? I am firmly of the opinion that we should stay in the EU, but in my corner of Kent I am surrounded by raving Brexiters nostalgic for the good old days when foreigners stayed in foreign lands, preferably ruled by us. :( Feeling glum and worried. Sorry thi...
