Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better
Really puts me off from writing for CC when I try to submit an article for a request and the editor (I presume new, as I haven't had any major problems previously with my 10+ articles) has a problem with every sentence. Went back and forth a few times until I told the editor I just couldn't change ...

Re: Are Conclusions Always Necessary?
I have written hundreds of such articles, never with a conclusion, and received a rejection for it only once when an editor thought it would make the article stronger to have one. I personally didn't agree because I think it is a little awkward to put in a conclusion into those types of list article...

Re: Another suspension
This is absolutely ridiculous. I got my very first and only rejection for wordiness about a week ago, and now I am scared out of my mind that a suspension may be coming my way. I used to love this site, and I guess I still do, but this is beyond horrible. I'm sorry that this happened to you Renee. I...

Re: Offer offer offer... and no sales.
Though I said above that info has bought from me in the past, I am currently in the same boat as everyone else, with almost daily offers but no sale up to this point yet. Will let you know if anything happens!

Re: Spirituality article rejected
That seems very strange and has me a little worried because spirituality is a huge category for me, and I plan to submit many of those types of articles very soon. Like Lysis said, it's hard to tell without the content but your title and subheadings sound like something I would write!! Your title do...

Re: Under the Requested Word Count
Hi, I'm new here. I just got my first submission back for wordiness. The article was submitted to a public request, and it had barely reach the minimum requested word count. Therefore, I doubt the article would be able to reach the requested word count after I'm through editing it. Then you'll have...

Re: Offer offer offer... and no sales.
info does that a lot. I only accept a select few of the offers, for old articles or for ones that didn't take very long and that I know I would have trouble selling. They recently bought 10 at a time, so that was nice! And yeah, some of those were from offers that they made months ago!

Re: Anyone experiencing rejection on those political topics?
I'm not having too many issues this time. I had one rejection with a LOT of comments, but once I fixed those up I was accepted, and my other article was accepted also. However, last time was a nightmare! 12 of my titles were chosen and I remember I had about 2 days to do them because I had family co...

Re: Articles rejected for not providing useful info
Yeah, it can be a little tricky with self-improvement stuff. I write a lot of those as well, and one time I also got a rejection for not being very useful. Upon second thought I completely agreed with the editor and I didn't resubmit that one particular article. If you feel that your article may be ...

Re: How are your sales doing?
I knew I wasn't the only one! :) I think long term, it'll be better for both writers and CC that we do it this way. If we write about things we know, our work will have both credibility and quality-- and the CC library will become more diverse and balanced. You never know who the next client is goi...

Re: How are your sales doing?
I would rather write stuff about topics I'm knowledgeable about than force the issue and write about whatever is in demand. I'm always better writing about things I know well. Besides, I also look at the bigger picture and write about things that aren't covered by other authors. Same here. I actual...

Re: How many articles do you write a day / week?
I always try to set daily/weekly goals but I find it nearly impossible to keep because of the way that work comes and goes. If it's a quiet time and I am only writing for the catalog, then I try to do 12-15 a week. However, I may have intense bursts of short deadlines where I do 14 articles in 2 day...

Re: Capitalization on titles
I wish they allowed the note box on the first submit, that would make it easy to leave a brief explanation of a term. That's a great idea! I recently had to add a pretty lengthy note for the editors to a private request even though I would rather the customer not see it (I was able to delete the no...

Re: Rejected Article for a Request
If you were able to successfully resubmit then the customer will be able to see it once it is accepted. Sometimes I have such tight deadlines that I am able to get everything IN before the deadline but rejections, and therefore my edits, happen once the deadline has already passed, and everything al...
