Re: How do private requests work?
There used to be a rule I think where the PMs made the customer put money into the account. At least, when I used to do more private requests I was always told that they have plenty of credits. Now, I'm not so sure it works like that. I never got burned on private requests, but have been the last co...

Re: Recycle your own material?
Do use caution when creating content on the same topic. Buyers can complain to CC if they find an article on the same topic in your inventory shortly after they have made a purchase from you. Try waiting a few weeks/months before adding content on the same topic to your inventory. #LessonLearned Ye...

Re: Does CC use a specific dictionary?
Yeah, I've had issues with "user name" versus "username." Had two different editors tell me to do it different. I just kinda submit and cross my fingers. lol

Re: 2017 Writing Goals
CC is an excellent side hustle indeed. I wanted to get to 1000 articles uploaded but I'm still at 750 I think. lol No way I'll get to 1000 this year either. Maybe next year.

This seems to be a little common. It's happened to me several times.

Surprised you still have your account after plagiarism. I wouldn't resubmit.

Re: Constant Content Suggested Pricing
Pretty much everyone realizes that going cheap doesn't help sell better. I did that too. I'm way over their suggested rate.

Re: 2017 Writing Goals
I already reduced my writing time to 25-30 hours a week. I'm increasing my fees in 2017 to $85/hour. I'll increase them every year until I find the right market rate. I have 0 problem getting $75/hour, so I'm too cheap right now. My friend and I are discussing expansion by coming together with some ...

Re: Writer Pools
There is another thread about this. Dead since August has been my experience too. I dunno about the pools. I generally don't take those requests, because they are too low budget. This place is a content mill, so they put dozens of writers in those pools. It's very possible that you're just too late....

Re: Quiet times here at Constant Content?
I thought of this thread yesterday when I sold two articles. For me that's $180 in my pocket. Not a lot but I'm happy with a few sales a month when I'm not uploading anything. Then, I get a return today. It's BS considering I post the full text of my article so there aren't any surprises when you do...

Re: Quiet times here at Constant Content?
Glad to see this thread here and find out it wasn't just me... it sounds even from the positive posts that almost everyone is seeing a general decline in catalog sales. Private sales, to me, are basically a gamble, and it's nice that it's paying off for some folks but it could just as easily not, a...

They redid the site like 2? years ago. I'm such a skimmer with content that I hardly ever see typos. lol

Re: Quiet times here at Constant Content?
Thanks again, Lysis. Good numbers there. Gosh, Upwork...I keep trying my hand there and can't seem to get a hold. I get fewer responses there than on CC, ha. I'm supposed to be novel-writing for a publishing deal, but can't get the inspiration so when one of my long-lost articles sold here unexpect...

Re: Quiet times here at Constant Content?
I couldn't agree more that the site, particularly the search function, is in desperate need of an overhaul. As you and Lysis said, I'm pretty sceptical about private requests as well - there are too many clients that just disappear, leaving you with an often unsaleable article (since it's written f...
