Re: Job Offer
I got a message through the inbox system here on the site today asking me to submit my resume directly to the client. I remembered seeing this thread over the weekend and came back to check it out. Sounds like the same woman others have mentioned here asking me to submit personal information in a re...

Re: Access level for requests
Yes, I've moved up a couple of access levels in the past few months. I began with an access level of three last year, completed several writer's pool batch requests before the specified deadlines, then moved up to level two. About six weeks ago I moved up to level one access after losing a private c...

Re: Linking to other websites in articles
If I'm adding links to resources used for research purposes, I'll make sure the link isn't active when I post it. Remove the http://www. part of the link so the rest of the URL is still visible if the client wants to use it.

Re: Another Missed Payday?
It seems I've been skipped too. I just thought it was a weekend thing and figured they'd get to it on Monday. I guess not.

Re: Moving Article from Private Order to Public Catalog?
Just a quick update - I finally got around to editing and re-submitting those articles the private client didn't buy. They sat in my portfolio for two-three days after approval. Then they all sold tonight to a different client for a higher price than the original client was offering! Woo hoo! Big th...

Re: Moving Article from Private Order to Public Catalog?
Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. I'll flag these in my submission spreadsheet so I don't forget about them and come back to tweak/resubmit them at the end of next week.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Ebooks for Passive Income
For non-US eBook writers selling on Amazon.com, getting paid involves receiving a paper cheque from the US in the mail - a strange situation from a company that makes so much of its money through PayPal. Very 1970s! There is a setting in the payment section that allows direct wire-transfer of payme...

Re: Ebooks for Passive Income
I've been playing with the whole KDP thing for about 15 months now around other writing assignments. I have 8 ebooks released as a series under one pen-name and another 5 in a different genre released as stand-alone titles under a different pen-name. Income sits around $100-$110 US per month on aver...

Re: Moving Article from Private Order to Public Catalog?
It's been more than 2 weeks since they were submitted & approved after a short 24 hour deadline. The client read the first one submitted. The other four haven't had any views at all. With the exception of mentioning a specific company, they're in relatively popular niches that should sell quickl...

Moving Article from Private Order to Public Catalog?
Hi there, I was recently contacted by a client who ordered five very specific articles with a very short deadline. They all mention the company's name, as per the article request. The client logged in, read one, never looked at the others, didn't purchase any and now they're sitting there completely...

Re: Question about submitting for private requests
I know this may be slightly neurotic- but the main reason I wanted to "close" with these requests so quickly, which is why I wrote them immediately, is because CC only pays once a month - and payday is coming up! I didn't want payment for these articles to drag over til August! Extra spen...

Re: Application Process/Criteria For Writer's Pools
From my experience, the customer wants to talk to the writer in a GoToMeeting or conference call. CC sets up GoToMeetings. They're easier. Imagine trying to get a facilitator in Vancouver, a customer in Sweden and a writer in Florida together at a convenient time. It ain't easy. :) LOL! Imagine a G...

Re: Writers pools
I get frustrated by the writer's pool requests for a different reason. I'm in Australia, which means I get LOADS of requests overnight while I'm sleeping. Yet everyone in the US or Canada or the UK is wide awake and snapping up those requests. By the time I wake up, everything's gone

Re: How long does it take to be accepted into a writer pool?
I waited since January to be accepted into a couple of pools I requested to join. It's now June. I got accepted into some, but still haven't heard anything on the others. I'm kind of disappointed that I wasn't accepted into the Australia pool, since I live in the capital city of the state of South A...

Re: UK/US/etc English
I'll definitely agree to this suggestion as well. I write a lot of UK and Australian finance articles, which are often very different to the US in terms of industry jargon and terminology - and even financial products available. It would also be handy to have a button to select when submitting a pie...
