Re: How Much Can You Make A Month?

I agree with Jade Dragon. Some of my articles have sold for usage rights three or four times. It is always worth
offering the usage rights, I think.

Re: Pitifully low offer

Thank you, Jade Dragon. I received a few more offers from the same person today. It's very depressing! I think that the very low offers were for
good articles too.

I haven't tried Bukasa yet. I have been writing for Suite 101 but I haven't been pleased with my earnings there.

Re: Marketing Your Constant-Content Articles

I do think that it is probably a good idea to market articles. I will try to be more focused next year and work
harder at marketing.

I'm curious too. I tried to put mine on Twitter but something went wrong.

Re: Pitifully low offer

I keep getting these low offers too. I always refuse them. They're usually from the same customer - I don't know why he keeps doing it!
This one was even lower than usual. It's very annoying.

I don't know if I can write for AC because I'm an OS writer. I will look into it today.

Re: What I've learned from writing on spec. . .

I really like writing about any subject that captures my interest, as well as topics that I think will appeal to a wide audience. I also like being able to set my own prices. I've become much more careful about revising my articles before I submit them. I try to study them with a fine-tooth comb now...

Re: How much are we worth?

Maybe the writers who accept such low prices write tons of articles! That is the only way in which the writers could make any money. It is depressing to see amounts of $5.00 or so in the 'Recently Sold' list, I agree. Even $20.00 is rather low. I don't bother with most requesters who only offer $10....

Re: How much are we worth?

I agree with you, Amy. I got an offer of only $3.00 and thought that it was absolutely ridiculous! It was for an article that I
thought was very good! All that we can do is keep refusing them and keep writing and trying to boost our morale somehow!

Re: Use It - Or Lose It...

I don't agree with what you said, JadeDragon. Sometimes it's difficult to spot mistakes. It is a good idea to go over rejected articles with a fine-tooth comb. I have been trying to do this, however, and I have received rejections ever since I came back from OS. I haven't been writing every day so p...

Re: how to ask for help

Hi everyone,

My articles have been rejected lately so I'm getting worried too. I would like a writing buddy as well.

Is anyone interested?

Re: Clarity

Since I came back from OS I've had two articles rejected which has been very upsetting. The last one was rejected because it lacked 'coherence.' When I read it again I understood why, although I really think that it's easy to read, but I am not going to try to fix it and re-submit it here in case it...

Re: Use It - Or Lose It...

Hi Dennis, I found your post very interesting. I've been away for a while too and I think that it can be hard to get back into the 'swing of things' especially if you have jetlag! I don't know about writing something every day, however... I do try to do it if I can but I think that a few days every ...

That's true, JadeDragon. It's a pity because I am very pleased with my photos.

Maybe we should try the big sites?

Re: Affiliates (recruited authors)

Thank you very much for your help, Celeste, and Jade Dragon. I can see that I haven't worked very hard on obtaining affiliates. You have done well, Jade Dragon. I would like to find some affiliates because I feel that my 'sponsor' is making a bit of money from my articles and I'd like to get some ba...
