Re: How Best to Provide Samples to a Client?

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it's a bit risky.

I'm inclined to do that and then send the client the links.

How Best to Provide Samples to a Client?

Hello fellow scriveners. I'm applying to a casting call and the client requests three samples. I'm writing new articles so the samples are precisely tailored to the client's needs. My question is how best to submit them to the client? Should I submit them to CC and once they're approved send the cli...

Re: "Linking" to another website in the CC Author Bio

Ok. That's fine. Thanks fellas.

Presumably I could, if at some point I decide to quit here altogether (you never know), delete my unsold CC inventory and then sell the articles elsewhere. Yes, I mean I own the copyright. Sorry, probably just thinking aloud at this point...

As you were, folks!

Re: "Linking" to another website in the CC Author Bio

...No, wait a minute...

Does the agreement I have with CC by selling through this site mean that I can't sell articles to anyone, via any other medium outside CC so long as I'm signed up here? No, it can't do, can it? I'd starve to death...

"Linking" to another website in the CC Author Bio

Hello fellow scriveners! Happy May to you. I've been building out a new content writing website and blog as a hub for my writing services. It's nearly ready to go live. Now I know I can't live link to anything from the Constant Content Author Bio, but I'm wondering if I can add something like, "...

Re: My private request article has been in review for 2+ wee

You could try emailing Nicole, but don't raise your hopes too high. In my experience, writer-side support is erratic at best. I suspect they print out emails from writers, scrunch them up, toss them in a trash can and pick one out at random once a month. I don't do anything here now but post to my c...

Re: "Kick-off Meeting Webinar"

Yes, it is funny. But you know what? I've already written a blog post about my experience prostituting myself to a content farm based on the experience. No material is wasted on a writer, right? :) In the meantime, I've totally revolutionized the way I think about this business. Or rather, about how...

Re: "Kick-off Meeting Webinar"

Well Guys, I signed up on that writer pool. Holy mother of all crap, never again! The work was deathly boring, and to be honest, a monkey could have done it blindfolded and doped. But... ... forget monkeys. It seems there were a large number of amoeba on the team, unable to follow the simplest instr...

Re: "Kick-off Meeting Webinar"

Hi Lysis.

Thanks for that. How do you get the lion's share of your work? Obviously not here.

Re: "Kick-off Meeting Webinar"

Hi Lysis, Thanks for your take on it. They want 400 word "articles" (I suspect they're actually wanting product description level stuff) for which they'll pay $20 ($16 after CC takes their cut). Way I see it, that's just 4 cents a word. Which is pretty dismal. They reckon on each piece tak...

"Kick-off Meeting Webinar"

Hi folks, This is one for the more experienced among you. I was recently invited by CC to participate in writing a lot of articles (quite poor rates, but sensible if they're easily produced) for a private client wanting hundreds of articles per day over the course of 3 months. Clearly several other ...

Re: Article Stolen from My Catalog

Hi folks. So I heard back from Chris Cuming. He told me he couldn't file DMCAs on my behalf because it would cost $199 each. However, he has paid me for all the articles stolen from my catalog and they have now been removed. That seemed to me a very fair response. But I don't think there's anything ...

Re: Article Stolen from My Catalog

@HiredGun

Blimey. So it can read text on images. CC is going to have to up its game. It's a shame, because I'm sure displaying 100% improves sales. But I've set my preview to 33% now.
