Re: What are our tax responsibilities here?
Remember that the transaction between the customer and CC and between CC and the writer occurs in Canada.

Re: Using Old Articles
In theory, you can offer previously published content for "usage rights". In practice, you are better to just write new articles you can sell for full rights here.

Re: Writer Commission?
From what I've seen the biggest hurtle to the first sale is actually submitting articles. The next hurdle is submitting more than a couple articles. The rest follows.

They put the no contact rule in place to prevent unproven authors pestering the clients. Great rule Pretty sure any 5 accepts are fine.

Re: Am I about to get banned?
From what I can tell the rule is to cover the site when they ax less than capable writers. If you are improving and resubmitting you should be fine. Look at CC as a chance to step up the quality of your work and you will be fine.

Re: Writer Commission?
There is a referral system, but it has been de-emphasized with the recent site revisions. While logged in as an author go to http://www.constant-content.com/account/referrals.htm to get your referral code and see who you have referred. For example this is my referral code http://www.constant-content...

Re: How do you format biblio/sources?
Referencing authoritative sources We mainly create internet content so the old rules of citing sources at the bottom don't really apply. Instead, according to Celeste Stewart's guide to internet writing, sources are best cited right in the text. You can learn more about effective internet writing on...

Re: Newbie - need advice
Celeste has a useful spreadsheet for tracking your submissions, prices and sales. I'll add that you can reasonably expect 70% of your articles to sell over time. So if you submitted 10 articles, already sold 3 and are happy with your hourly rate based on those 3 sales than you will be really happy w...

Re: Help with writer pool request?
Buyer does not understand the process. I'd write an article or more and submit them. If he wants more output he can put out another request.

Re: Reusing existing published content
Sounds like you have nothing to worry about. Put one up, wait, than do another. Approvals are pretty fast now. Also, most sales are for full rights here so new fresh content is much better.

You will be judged on the quality of your writing, not the bio.

Re: Question for Veteran CCers
The range is from a lot to a very few. It depends on a lot of factors like: -did it get on the front page -is it an enticing title/topic -are other authors looking at the article -the phases of the moon I would not worry about # of hits at all. It is just not very useful info. You want to be writing...

Re: Long Summaries
Don't know how the editors will like that. You are supposed to show at least a third of the article, so if the intro and conclusion give you at least a third of the words than you meet that requirement. A custom written section in the middle might not fly but maybe they will allow it. I've inserted ...

Re: Must-Read Resources - New Authors: Start Here
The writer's faqs here actually appear to be buyer's faqs. Is this the wrong link? I still can't get a clear answer as to when or if it's O.K. to post a link to your own website or blog. I know you don't want it in the articles, but is it O.K. to put it in a forum post? In our bios? Anything I crea...
