Re: My account has been permanently suspended, details insid
Although it's not perhaps the cleanest article I've seen, I don't see any glaring errors on the level that editors normally suspend accounts for. As for your other articles, an account suspension means that are no longer listed as for sale but you will be paid at the next normal payment period if yo...

Re: Categories
I would suggest making the category "Marriage and Divorce", as the latter cannot be had without the former and most "Marriage" articles I've seen are about avoiding divorce.

Re: Spelling
CC accepts both British and American English, although I've seen people report better luck with American English. Australian English may also be accepted, but I would stick to British or American.
You should be able to switch between the American and British dictionaries within Word.

Re: What sells well?
My computer-related stuff usually sells fastest and fetches a decent price. The two points of view that seem to sell fastest are explaining emerging technologies, such as 802.11ac, and How/Why articles, such as Why Use RAID or How To Select a Motherboard. My best sellers usually have minimal jargon ...

Re: Promoting unsold articles?
I don't think of you guys as competition, I think of you guys as my team. :) That's a good way of looking at it. CC largely works because of the community of writers behind it who not only support each other, but give CC a nice, plump catalog to draw customers in with. If you treat other writers he...

Re: Commas Again!
I agree that it started out as a list and then went back to being a sentence, which is confusing. Original: Combining sustainable green energy sources: Examples include biomass, wind or solar energy as a thermal source together with geothermal energy storage instead of battery storage . -- This list...

Re: Fewer boreholes or lesser boreholes?
Just to expand on what stelle said, because I know this is a common question and people often search the forums before posting: "Fewer" describes quantity, whereas "lesser" describes size (smaller). If Bob has 12 kittens and Sue has fewer kittens, then Sue has <= 11 kittens. Howe...

Re: Question about Product Suggestions
Try to avoiding dating your articles, if possible. You always want to write it so that if it doesn't sell in time for Father's Day 2013, it will still be relevant for Father's Day 2014. Try to say "a new laptop" instead of "a Lenovo Thinkpad T60". Of course, if you're talking ent...

Re: 'for Dummies' allowed in title?
A lot of people parody it with stuff like "for Idiots", "for Total Morons", or "for the Intellectually Challenged". It's obvious that's it's a parody of "for Dummies" and thus communicates the same idea to the consumer without the potential trademark infringem...

Re: Has CC seen better days?
I don't think the CC forums are representative of the CC as a whole. I would say lower forum usage of people having fewer issues using CC more than anything else, as the forums are mostly a support device and are separate from CC's main site.

Re: 'for Dummies' allowed in title?
"for Dummies" is trademarked, so you can't use it without their permission in any case that might cause consumer confusion (they think you're John Wiley & Sons, Inc.).

Re: Comma help
I think A is correct because the first half can stand on it's own as a sentence. The comma acts as a conjunction, joining the second half to the first half. Of course, I could be wrong on it, but that's the rule I go by when I'm not sure. I would go by the overall context of that paragraph. If it ha...

Re: How should I format this article?
Although editors can be inconsistent, the general rule is that when a client request conflicts with CC's rules, the client's request takes precedence.
