Raw Cat Food article rejected - question

Hi Ed, The rejection says to re-submit with a short summary, but I did include a short summary in the appropriate section, which was under the extra note to editor that I added as way of explanation. Should I not have put my note to you in the short summary area? I'm wondering if you just didn't see...

Re: I'm so stoked!!

Thanks everyone, I've had a couple more articles accepted, although one I deleted and resubmitted because I hadn't cited a source to my satisfaction. I'm assuming it will go back through okay. I have several articles that I've written that are waiting to be submitted. I'm holding off on submitting a...

Re: Constructive Criticism Thread

All right, I see now that my commas need to be within the quotation marks.... I just picked up some grammar books so I'll have a look as far as everything else goes. Feel free to weigh in if you see any issues. I think this article is close to ready to submit. This is the only paragragh that's been ...

Re: Constructive Criticism Thread

I'd love some thoughts on this section of my paper... Never Say No If you must tell the customer “no", try not to use the actual word. “Yes, however” or “Not at this time” sound very neutral. The word “no” is so final sounding. It makes you appear inflexible and unwilling to compromise. A custo...

fixing error after acceptance?

Hi everyone, I recently submitted my first article and it was accepted and only now I've realized that I made a statement that should have been backed up with a source. I'd love to just delete one sentence, but it sounds like I can't do that now that it's been accepted? Can I only edit while it's st...

Re: Semicolons

Hi guys,

I left it alone and submitted the article and it was accepted! I guess I understand semicolons. :D

I'm so stoked!!

Hi all! I'm new here and am completely blissed out this morning because my first article was accepted right out of the starting gate! I'd been stressing over hyphenated phrasal adjectives vs. nouns and I just said, "forget it, I'm going for it!" and I'm so glad I did. I was completely prep...

Semicolons

Hi everyone, I'm new so I didn't think this belonged in the authors section. I'm looking for confirmation that my semi-colon use is not completely hopeless. If you wouldn't mind taking a look and letting me know what you think, I'd appreciate it. Here's a section of article I'm currently working on:...
