Re: Fifth Rejection : All I ask for is consistency...
Hi Hugh, I understand your frustration, but you shouldn't feel like you're the only one who's getting multiple rejections. When I first joined C-C, I had every single article rejected for every possible reason you can imagine, from run-on sentences and awkward wording, to misplaced commas and typos....

Re: Confusing rejection reasons
Hey there! The Extended Writers' Guidelines mention: "If you wish to create a list of tips, steps, or items, each list item must be accompanied by an explanation. We cannot accept submissions that are simply lists." Maybe the editor would expect you to elaborate a bit on each step. Hope th...

Re: Really Struggling
Hey there! I hope you're all doing great! The forum has been a bit silent lately, which probably means that everyone is too busy working, or doing other things, which is great! I decided to come back to this thread because it's exactly how I've been these last days: really struggling! See, I've star...

Re: Finding old rejection feedback
Hi!
I think rejection notifications come both in your e-mail and in your C-C inbox, so you should be able to find it even if you have deleted the e-mail they sent you.

Re: String of Rejections
Hi Lisa-Anne! That is a very common mistake, and it probably wouldn't get you suspended. It is important, though, that you take the editors' advice into consideration and try not to repeat mistakes they have already pointed out to you. C-C can help you improve your writing, but the standards are hig...

Re: Number Of Views Before Purchase
Hi there! I've found that the views don't really matter. I've had articles sell with just two views, and others with more than thirty. it's more a matter of the right customer coming by. As for the pricing, go with the price that makes sense to you. Customers are often willing to pay more for a grea...

Re: account suspension due to "plagiarism"
From what I saw in your previous posts, you had a similar issue in the past. Maybe that has something to do with their not answering anymore. I don't know, really. Plagiarism is a real issue for all of us writers, and it's not to be taken lightly. It's unfair to miss opportunities because someone st...

Re: account suspension due to "plagiarism"
Hi, I suppose no one in the forum can be of any significant help. It's alright to use articles that appear elsewhere as long as you put them up for usage rights only and the pennames in both accounts match. Also, if your article has been stolen and there are timestamps to show the date it was upload...

Re: Rules about selling "full rights" articles elsewhere?
On a practical level, I don't really know if there's anything that can stop you from re-selling a full-rights article. However, if the original buyers complain about it, and you're found out, you're going to face consequences -a permanent ban from the site for sure. What you're describing is not a l...

Re: 3x3 help please
I don't really think you'll have a problem with your version. It's a widely acceptable way of expressing measurements, so you probably don't even have to worry about it.
Good luck!

Re: 3x3 help please
Hi! I would just go with "All sides should measure X feet". It's short and simple. Spelling out small numbers is very common, but I don't see a real problem if you actually use the number. It would be cool to include metres as well if you are targeting an international audience. I always g...

Re: Hello CC!
Welcome, both of you! :) Yes, the standards are a lot different, and it will take a while for you to get used to having your articles rejected over a misplaced comma! However, it's an awesome opportunity for you to perfect your skills, and the forum is packed with useful information, tips, discussio...

Re: Not going to bother with this site anymore
Hi, C-C has a set of rules, and you can find them in the Writer's Guidelines. A general, all-inclusive rule is that they don't accept articles with any errors whatsoever. Anything from a dangling modifier to a misplaced comma can get your article sent back for revision. It's annoying and somewhat pa...

Re: Rejection Question
Hi Natalie, and welcome!
It's not unusual for the editors to immediately reject an article if it's submitted in the wrong format, so any other errors won't be mentioned in the e-mail. The best thing for you would be to double-check your article in order to avoid a second rejection.
