Re: Received a written flaying
First of all, you have to push this out of your mind at some point, because MOST private request customers aren't like this! It's like any job - there are always some customers who make us feel terrible, but most are fine. Don't let it put you off. You have heaps of supporters here! :) I would defin...

Re: How to Create Multiple Private Requests
Hi Scott, I had a client who wanted six articles per month as an ongoing thing. She contacted her account manager from CC who set it up as a private request for several months at a time (before the request expired they had to update it now and then). Every time I submitted my articles I found the re...

Re: How can a writer upgrade Access Level?
I finally found it - you have to click on "my account" then "edit my request settings." I don't suppose there's any point mentioning the "acccess" spelling mistake on that page because the same mistakes seem to stay on the site for years quite happily. :) I am level one...

Re: Confused Customer- how do I answer her?
Well, escturtle, I think there are plenty of things we don't know so we learn as we go along. I didn't know those settings applied to private requests but I always wondered, so I figured 100% was best. At least now you know what to do to keep selling to that client. Good luck!

Re: Confused Customer- how do I answer her?
Wow, HiredGun, you sound like you know what you're doing! I'd love to hear the results of your analysis. :) I think of it from the buyer's viewpoint and I think they'd prefer to see 100% before buying. We can worry about people copying and stealing our work if we reveal too much of it, but if people...

Re: Confused Customer- how do I answer her?
If the customer made a private request, surely she must have an account manager who she can contact directly? I'd ask her to do that.

Re: Confused Customer- how do I answer her?
That's strange! :( I guess she can only see a two-paragraph sample. Do you think your default setting for the preview section of your article is set to 100%? If you're not sure, go to "my account" dropdown box, click on "edit my account" and scroll down to "default long summ...
