Re: The Owl Box

The chatroom mentioned that it's black and white during the night hours. Colour during the day :)

Re: Use It - Or Lose It...

I also think it's important to write often so that you don't lose the skills you currently have. It's so easy to fall out of the writing habit, but when you decide to start writing again, it's a lot harder and more time consuming than before. The expression, "It's like riding a bike - once you'...

Re: "Recently Sold" question

Yea, you have to get in there pretty quickly to see your article on the recently sold list. With so many sales, the articles get bumped off that list rather fast (which is a good thing :)).

Re: How do I sell?

I've never marketed anything here and I've sold quite a few. Nice thing about this site is that it brings the customers to your work, so you can focus more on your writing. The owners of the site work hard at bringing in new customers, which is very nice. But it couldn't hurt to do a little marketin...

Re: Problem writing a post

I've never had that problem. It could be, however, that perhaps my posts aren't long enough to reach past that certain length? How large of a post does it take for you to start having problems? Or maybe it's a browser-specific problem? Which browser do you use?

Re: Quiz written for specific request rejected

I can easily see how confusion might happen for new writers receiving public request mails. Without knowledge of how the request system works, the emails seem to be written just for you. Just now, I received an email that read: From: Customer Name To: Author Nessiee Sure, it does say "public re...

Re: Funny Searches

Hmmmm, from the little that I've watched of the show, it's sort of documentary style and follows a couple of criminals (that are rather bad at what they do - their plans never work out) during their daily lives at the trailer park. It's really hard to explain, unless you've actually seen it. Serious...

Re: Funny Searches

That's funny... maybe it's just a Canadian thing, but Trailer Park Boys is rather big up here. It's been on TV for several years, and I'm pretty sure they made a movie too. Lots of people watch it (I've never really gotten into it myself) but I have friends that watch it, and my Dad watches it somet...

Re: Links to Recently Sold Articles?

Yes, I was thinking about this earlier. I feel bad now if I want to make a search in the box, cause it fills up the recent search activity with author searches, making it harder to determine which topics customers are looking for. I hadn't thought about using links in the recently sold list. That wo...

Re: A thought about purchase rating?

If you go to the "Requested Content" page you will see a table listing the current buyer requests. In this table, one column is named "Purchase Rating". The numbers in that column indicate how many articles each requester has bought in the past.

Re: How to say no to a private requester

I also got this same request. To be honest, I just thought it was another public request (since I've never gotten a private request before) and since it didn't really interest me, I didn't pay too much attention to it.

I also found another one of my articles stolen. It's at:

You might want to check out this site if you write about cars or similar topics. I think I'll check the rest of my articles and then send off a message to support :P
