Re: Affiliate Scheme For Buyers

I've mentioned it on bulletin boards and in comments on other's freelancing articles, but have not ever had a response. HubPages is the only blogsite I use, and I write on only one certain topic there. I did find that one of the articles I sold appeared on a Hub there, though. It had been purchased ...

Re: Affiliate Scheme For Buyers

Yes, it would. Especially if you can teach the rest of us how you're locating buyers to refer. I'd love to see a high demand here.

Re: Can I repeat part of my own CC content?

You would need to cite it even though you wrote it. Otherwise, it's "self-plagiarism."

Re: Editors & Review Times

I think if the editors started fixing mistakes, the writers would become careless about their own editing. I'm not sure what they use for software. It may be read only. Two good points, though I think in the first case sloppy writers could simply see a rejection saying "proofread it first."

Re: Article submission

All articles are reviewed.

However, you may need to clarify something with a client before submitting in order to provide the best material you can.

Re: Rejected Article

The Adelie penguins requests is only seeking 150 words, so I doubt the length of your article prompted the rejection. My understanding is that sometimes writers are asked not to resubmit with a message explaining the reason: "This material does not meet our criteria for quality" or somethi...

Re: Formatting Problems

As mnicol says, using .rtf fixed the problem for me. I just type it into Word like always, then when I save it, I save it as .rtf (rich text format). Apparently this disables the .html markups that Word inserts. I found that solution elsewhere in these forums, and since using .rtf I haven't had anyt...

Re: Cant send in a Article

After you've logged in, you can click on the "My Content" button to confirm that your article was submitted properly. If it's not there, you'll need to resubmit it. If it *is* there, you'll need to wait until they have reviewed it. This site doesn't accept YOU per se. It accepts or rejects...

Re: About HubPages

I *was* writing for HubPages, and using the link to the author page that showcases my articles. They determined that linking to the page selling the content of articles/Hubs I've written is "unrelated" to the Hub and therefore, constitutes a violation of terms. I will no longer be using th...

CC Veterans, can you help explain?

When I have written for a public request, I have normally heard nothing back during the three day period. In one case, I received an e-mail saying "Article Declined." Does that mean that those other articles weren't read by the person who made the request and simply expired? If so, why don...

Re: Second Person POV

Hello, Evelyn! You made some valid points there. I remember when I was still taking English lessons we weren't allowed to use "you" or "your" in essays and nobody even bothered to explain. It was a rule cast in stone that you wouldn't dare ever break. I can understand impersonal...

Re: One sentyence comment with offer decision

Although I don't do the "Allow Offers" option, I get requests sometimes to sell my articles for less. I normally will say something like, "I would take (this much) for that article, but not less." Hmm... Since I don't use that feature, I don't know what you're seeing. I know tha...
