ditto

I'm sure everyone has heard enough about it, but I just thought I'd add my name to hat! (As in, I too am experiencing login troubles . . .)

I need no response, I am just mentioning it in case support is trying to track a pattern.

Anyone know how to change featured articles in author bio?

I'd like to change the list of articles that pop up as featured articles in my author bio. Some are actually titles already sold, so when clicked, a message comes up that the article has been removed or sold. I'd like to replace the list with selections I feel provide a good glimpse at my style for ...

Right From the Start

I don't even remember how I came across CC. After stumbling across it, spending an evening browsing the old forum posts, learning the rules, I tried my hand at a public request. Boom, sold it! I had been looking for a place that made it easy for me to sell writing, without having to do all the marke...

Maybe too late now, but if the article has not been reviewed yet, you can remove the file, and reattach with the corrections in place, all without having to actually fill out the form.

Word Count

Just looked at the requested content, there's a request for articles that are 350 words in length. Is there a minimum word count that needs to be met when you submit? I hope not. I just submitted to the request, and I did not make it to 400 words, which I know is a popular minimum . . .

Search the forum ,search the forum, search the forum!

Hi!

I think the majority of questions that newbies have can be answered by spending an evening browsing the forum. I found it SO EXTREMELY helpful when I was still learning the ropes. When I say evening, I mean it, there is really a lot of informative info there!

Good luck, happy writing!

Thanks!

Hi Ed, Yes it does help, because you sound as though you are advising not to attach my MS Works copy of the article to which I am referring. Thus far I have not been able to find it any where by doing a search online, so giving the link is not an option. I'd rather give an actual sample than just de...

Use something you've sold full rights to as a sample?

Hi, What are the rules about using something you've sold the full rights to as a writing sample when bidding/applying for a gig? I have a sample that I've sold, no idea where it went, where it is being used, but it would be perfect as a sample for what I'm applying for. Not sure if it is okay to use...

How did you determine the article theft?

Hi, Several of you have written of recent article thefts. First of all--let me say I am very sorry to hear of it and I hope you get results when you contact Google. My question is, how did you determine that your material had been stolen? Are these all related to the previously discussed Snoopy inci...

Yeah, I am slightly concerned about the blog route sending out a bit of a green impression. On the other hand, I've seen a lot of authors use their website or blog in their signature line in various writing forums I frequent, and it seems like a great way to spread the word about your own work. We'l...

Brain picking

Hi, Just wanted to pick some of your brains. Do you have your own website to showcase your writing, and as a place to refer those who may request samples of your writing? Do you think a blog service could work for a setup like that? Just a place to keep some samples on display? Any idea how much/yea...
