Re: Editing questions from an aspriring editor

These seem familiar somehow. Did you make these up or is this part of a test from some other site?

What about photos that go with an article?

Warning: Newbie questions ahead! Ok, so poking through the site, I discovered that we can't offer photos anymore. IS there a way for me to let a potential client know that I have high-quality photos to go with an article? Let's say I've written the definitive guide to tracking down the cute-but-elus...

Is mature content OK? (not erotica)

Hi, there!

Are we allowed to offer mature content here? I'm not talking about erotica; I'm talking about something like a glossary of sexual slang with definitions of terms such as teabagging or snowball.

Thanks!

Re: Scraped content and three strikes?

Hi, Michele, and thank you. I checked before I submitted, but it's always possible that they will find something I didn't, or that scrapers will strike during the review window. For my first two, I'm using slightly reworked copy from somewhere else. For my third one, I'll probably go original. :) As...

Stoopid n00b question #347 - where do you put your byline?

Does it go in the document itself? I'm used to content sites where you don't use a byline because your pen name is already part of your publishing template.

Do I need to edit my two submissions to include my byline?

Thanks!

Re: Making lots of stupid mistakes! Brain freeze?

Changing the font is brilliant, thanks! For me, proofreading always works best on hard copy. If it's make or break, I print it out and mark it up the analog way.

.docx - yes or no?

I uploaded my first file as a docx. Is this format acceptable, or do I need to resave as .doc?

Thanks,

Scraped content and three strikes?

Hi, there! I'm a new CCer who has just submitted her first piece for review. It's previously published, but I hold the proper rights to put it up for usage. My pen name in both places is identical, so I'm not worried about that. Here are my concerns: 1) If the article has been scraped without my kno...
