Re: February 2011 Learn a New Trick Writing Challenge

I am already trying my very hardest to learn a new trick: how to write to CC's requirements. :( I already can write in two voices: my usual, tongue-in-cheek and pseudo-legalese. Actually I have done some research on LSI. Maybe I will write an article on how to use LSI to do SEO. Google uses a LSI fo...

The first article I sent was in txt format. It got rejected as incorrect formatting. So I am sticking to doc.

Re: C.C. still can't see my article

I have used MS Word, Openoffice and, now, Abiword. What I did was save it in doc format. My articles have been shooting back and forth without any problems. Have you tried saving it in doc format and sending it like that? btw I am using Abiword because it has all the tools I need at my fingertips. S...

Re: Continuation of Another Thread

@ Judith You have a point there. No one, man or woman, should allow themselves to suffer in a hell on earth. However, the laws governing matrimony seem to indicate otherwise. A man has to give up a hand and a leg, so to say, to buy his freedom. A woman, it seems, can get her freedom as well as a par...

Re: Continuation of Another Thread

I think if we start by accepting the truth that our mothers had much more influence on us than our fathers did, then I think we can get somewhere. Then we can put more effort into teaching our daughters to teach the right things to our grandchildren. Instead of treating our daughters like some waste...

Re: Reselling something already published in my name

My main interest in Hubpages and Squidoo was the Amazon Associate thing. I plan to put an article or two there to see if I can sell anything. More specifically, to see whether my article has the power to excite the reader to buy the featured products. Kind of like beta testing so that I can write be...

Re: Reselling something already published in my name

I see. Congratulations. You must know a secret that I don't because I have not sold a single article here yet. Still, I am not giving up. I am already earning regular income writing web content so I think I should be able to survive while I learn how to write something that will sell here. btw is He...

Re: Reselling something already published in my name

Rewrite it, Gary, rewrite it. Publishing an article here at CC is not quite the same kettle of fish as publishing it elsewhere. You will find out, by and by, as I did.

Re: Questions about Public Requests and Submissions

So far, I have only written for public requests. When the buyer does not take my article, I put it up for sale here with 'use' rights only. This way I can publish my articles elsewhere with the condition that I publish them elsewhere also with 'use' rights only.
