huge day

I'll be starting a huge writing project that will take up the next two weeks of my time. It's crazy really. But it's something that has to be done. Luckily, my husband will be off for week one of the project and I maybe can get some work done without the distracting kids around. I have a feeling tho...

welcome

Honestly don't know how you do that. I stay at home and homeschool my three kids. But I don't work outside the home. Thank god for writing. It's at least gotten me some extra money when we've needed it. Welcome to CC! It's friendly here and I like the professionalism here. Take care.

what I do

What I do to avoid this, is copy the part I want and copy it to a notepad, a simple text editor. Then highlight it all and copy that and put it in the form at CC. Sometimes Word and other word processors use different formatting (coding, programming that we don't always see) and it messes up things....

byline issues

In many other places, a byline can be a short paragraph explaining your background. But here at Constant Content I believe that is just your name. I have never seen it any other way here.

Grammar Help

I use WordPerfect (and then use OpenOffice to convert or put my article on my local network so I can access it from one of the computers I DO have MS Word on). I know that Word and WordPerfect has a grammar checker and you can change the settings on it to flag almost anything. It has different style...

article ideas

"Without the spammers, I'd never know where to get fake Rolexes. " Now that sounds like something you could write. I suppose you could use spam to get ideas. I use another email account as a spam trap mostly. But I check it for article ideas. There really is a bunch of great article ideas ...

good thing

Maybe it's a good thing to have this forum. At least the junk is all in one place. Or most of it anyway. I know it's a lot. But perhaps the forums should be moderated a little more. When people sign up, you should make them have to be approved for their first messages. That should take care of softw...

Speech idea....

"One question about the speech thing. Would it be legal for me to quote a portion of the speech directly? If not, I was thinking about just giving a link to the site which includes the speech. Although, I've had an article rejected for containing outside links. I think just one would be alright...

I didn't clarify

I didn't clarify that BOTH images I was talking about in the first entry ARE my own. The one on my blog is similar to the one that I was thinking of selling here. I was just trying to figure out what rights were best.

I'd need admin for that I suppose.

Thanks for any and all replies.

that's what I thought

...That's what I thought (that they would be images still) but for some reason today hasn't been a great day so I wanted to make sure.

Thanks for your reply.

photograph question(s)

I say multiple questions in case it gets long! ;) I have a series of photographs (okay, I always take many shots of one thing). I posted one of my pictures on a personal blog. There is another similar but different picture (I swear). But it is only SLIGHTLY different. You can tell if you look closel...

written differently

You have to write it exactly as 7-07-07 to get it to work. I guess it's called a palindromic date. (oooo, sounds so technical...)

Katina (who did more research on palidromes in general today... what a fun activity!)

7-07-07

I know that if you would write 7-07-07 backwards it would be the same date and that would be a numerical palindrome right? Where something is the same forward as backward? Sort of like the word "level". I don't know...lucky day I suppose. Play the lottery I've heard. Maybe we'll win. I'll ...

About Reviews

What if we were writing reviews particularly products such as computer games? What is allowed and what isn't? That's pretty vague but it was only an imcomplete idea in my head anyway... :P Maybe a refresh of a link to the actual rules and regulations out here? I can't find it today for some reason a...
