Re: What I've learned from writing on spec. . .

Hi, Evelyn! I never got around to thanking you for the reply. Thanks for the advice and the encouragement! Unfortunately, no, that wasn't my article. I wish it was! She did look at the article, I believe, because it has one view and it hasn't been released to the public yet. But now I see that she's...

Re: What I've learned from writing on spec. . .

The one thing I just learned is to WRITE FAST! I just spent a good hour or two researching and burning all of my brain cells over trying to understand what a hydraulic seal is and how in the world I am supposed to write a professional and informational article on something I've never heard about. Th...

Re: Fiverr.com

I just tried to use fora20 and I think it is a scam... I can't even post a bit/gig/whatever. I re-wrote my listing twice and now I think I give up... the website looks cheap and the help section is non-existent. A nice idea, but I don't think it is worth your time, imo. Hope that saves you all a bit...

Re: New public request for proofreading

I saw this and thought it looked fishy. You aren't allowed to go around the CC system and contact the customer through other means. Although it is possible to be honest and still use CC, it is also possible to handle the transaction through email on the side. Anyway, by the time I looked up the requ...

Re: Strange message

I'd say that it wouldn't hurt to write the article. Not because this customer will buy it... seems rather fishy. But, like you were saying, it is a high-demand kind of article that someone is bound to buy sooner or later. Just be careful how much you post in your article preview so the guy doesn't s...

Re: Approved!!!

FYI, there are now a few editors at CC... there used to be just Ed. So, the review process is probably a lot faster now. :)

Re: Two articles rejected

Sounds like a plan, Christina! Wish you the best!

Three languages? Impressed! I know Latin but I'm not going to try and write articles in Latin!

Your English sounds excellent from your posts here and I'm sure you'll have no problem. :)

Re: Two articles rejected

Hi, Christina! Welcome to CC -- it's a great community! Sorry your two articles didn't make it yet.... are you clear on how to correct them? For the first one, you'll want to make sure that your article conforms to these guidelines (http://www.constant-content.com/about/extended_guidelines.htm). For...

Re: Some statistics for curious new authors

Enjoyed reading this, Evelyn! Nice to know how another writer is doing. I've made a similar chart but have not been as successful as you... :) If I put more time into it, I probably would have a better chance. Hard to balance life, school, and writing.

Keep it up!

Re: What is the highest amount an article has sold for on CC?

Personal highest is $100 but recently there was a $1,000+ price tag on an article. Found out later, however, that this was the payment for a collection of articles. :)

I try using the recommended prices that can be found when you submit an article. Generallly good articles.

Re: review time

Hey Withie! Glad to help... everyone has been great to me here so it's time for me to starting giving back. :) Not to scare you, but CC does have a 3-strike rule (not always hard and fast but it is a general rule) so you may want to remove your article from the review process and let someone review ...

Re: review time

Hey, withe! Sorry your article got rejected but don't feel too bad. I just got one rejected this morning (thankfully, easy fix). If you like (and if the article isn't too long), I would be happy to review it for you. You can contact me by looking me up on the author profile -- Amy Tanaka. Just a war...
