Re: Article rejeted again - I'm confused

[continued from above - why does this board have a word limit?] I really don't normally have this problem, I write for a freelance agency who can't get over how good my grammar and writing is - so although I don't think of myself as a Writer, I do think I can write to the market. I normally write an...

Article rejeted again - I'm confused

OK first off I have written and published 3 articles for this site all of which got approved by editors first off. The last article I got approved for was for a public request which wants several articles on similar topics. Having sold that article I then revised that article to suit another of his ...

Re: Commas, US usage different?

LOL jak no problem. It could be that I was taught an old-fashioned way. The only person who ever really corrected my grammar was my mother who left school pre-WW2 and a thesis supervisor in my honours year in 1983 when he was well in his 70's - so it could be a hangover over from an earlier generati...

Re: Commas, US usage different?

Yes Im curious to hear from a British writer because I don't need anymore confusion in my grammar. The comma example with unsure number of dogs seems to be just to need a sentence re-write, if you are relying on a comma for clarity its a bit subtle, especially on the web! But the list comma I am sur...

Commas, US usage different?

I just got rejected because of poor use of commas and got given some references for US usage http://owl.english.purdue.edu/handouts/grammar/g_comma.html Is there a difference between UK and US usage ? My grammar is generally done by feel, I've only learnt English grammar by learning foreign language...

Bug with messaging system

I got an email from CC which was a notification that I had a message from a publisher. However when I logged in Igot (1) next to messages but clicking that link takes me to the public request page - now I can't even see the message because the publisher has taken down their public request. If I hadn...

Google Indexing CC Articles

Hi, I have a Google Alert for one of my unsold articles: the text is from the long description of the article. The article in question has been on CC for a couple of weeks - and I just got an Alert - telling me that Google has indexed the page. I thought - though I don't know where I read it - the C...

Re: Funky Happenings with Text in Descriptions and Keywords

I find consistently that on the short and long description that the first line is indented about 1/2 the width of the box after the save. I thought it might have been a feature! I noticed the same problem with keywords too

Re: Payments

Thank you Celeste- I have got to say that the details are very well hidden on the paypal site. I am only getting the info for NZ account holders but I suspect this might be general: the only reason to have anything but a personal account is if you want to accept more than 5 credit/debit card payment...
