Re: Do You Have Your Own Website?
I have a website and had it before I began writing for CC. I have been building web sites for 20 years, and promoted my content site primarily to those web clients. I do get work from it, but mostly in combination with a Wordpress site.

Re: so how are sales these days?
I agree with Gauderbock... don't worry about how long it takes the editors. Just keep writing. It actually feels good to have plenty of articles in review. When they come through... you will have a lot of articles for sale in the catalog. I truly believe it's a numbers game. Choose to write in popul...

Re: so how are sales these days?
I find I am the determining factor in my sales. When I wrote more, I sell more. As of this minute I have written 1,850 articles and have sold 1,695. It's a decent ratio for sales. My goal is to hit the 2,000 mark by the end of April.

Re: Quiet times here at Constant Content?
Well, I have written 1802 articles and have 149 remaining in my catalog. I have done really well with spec sales on CC until the last two months. Things have slowed down dramatically. I will complete 2000 and see what happens after that. I also have my own website for article writing, which yields m...

Re: Weird Reworked Word Count & Other Thoughts
Hi Bumpy... Am I understanding you correctly? Are you saying that after articles you wrote were approved and placed in the catalog, an editor went through each article and made changes without notifying you? I can't even imagine that happening.

Re: No, I'm not a narcissist...
I have the second highest number of sales in Visual Arts, but if you type in a search for visual arts you won't find me listed. It's all very odd now.

Re: Casting calls
I agree! In the beginning I applied to a few and included my price. Never heard from any of them. I applied to two that listed a price that was acceptable to me and got one of them. I don't bother with them anymore.

Re: Concerned about the Recently Sold List
I was told the recently sold list is only catalog sales and that writer pool requests don't show up. I watched it a couple of times when I sold a dozen or more articles in a day, and the sales did not show up.

Re: Anyone having trouble staying logged in?
Thanks Word Gypsy. It has been better this week. I used to be able to stay logged in from 5am when I sign on until whatever time I chose to quit at night. But it is much better than last week. I seem to be able to stay logged in for a few hours at a time now. I am "a good guinea pig" Lysis...

Anyone having trouble staying logged in?
The last couple of days when uploading an article, I discovered I had been logged out when I hit submit. I haven't had this problem in forever. Day before yesterday, I know I was logged in less than an hour before I submitted an article. When I hit submit, it brought up the login page and I then had...

Re: Struggling with Submission Interface
What I do is highight the entire article and then click on the Tx (remove text formatting) and it removes everything. You will have to bold any headings again. I just don't bold my headings anymore until after I have pasted my article.

I've been having the problem since late morning (EST) - and I have tried to post to this thread 3 times and get the same message. Not sure if it will work this time or not.

Re: Selling Use Rights
I always have the use and full rights prices the same. THe first year I wrote here, I tried separate prices, and decided I didn't like a lot of use aricles sitting in my inventory. I have only sold one price for a long time now and I prefer it. I still include my byline with every article, because o...
