The city of Karatsu sits on the shores of the Genkai Sea in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu the southern most of the Japanese home Islands. Karatsu is a resort city well known for its perfect beaches and other local attractions for visitors including numerous spas and hot springs.

The Roatan Dive and Yacht Club (RDYC) is small hotel and marina located on the eastern edge of French Harbour, the second largest town on Roatan. It"s in the middle of the island and on the south side.

MANILA"S GREEN OASIS, RIZAL PARK
Manila the capital and largest city in the Philippines is a modern bustling metropolis in most every respect. In parts of the city it almost seems that everywhere one looks there is a veritable sea of concrete steel and glass towers. In this modern urban jungle though there is one major green space, located downtown on the edge of Manila Bay.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
Walking the plank, shiver me timbers and the crossed bones and skull of the Jolly Roger. We all know the phrases and images they conjure up. For some they refer to old movies seen on a Saturday matinee, or stories read late at night under the covers. For a few the name is synonymous with a ride at a famous amusement park. These stories are all based on fact, there really was a time when Pirates roamed the Caribbean.

THE VENICE OF THE CARIBBEAN:OAKRIDGE, ROATAN
Oakridge is a small town on the south coast of Roatan one of the Honduran Bay Islands. Like many places on Roatan, many of the town"s inhabitants are of Afro Antilles and or Garifuna descent. The Garifuna were originally African slaves who revolted on the island of Saint Vincent. After the British put down the revolt, they were shipped to the coast of Central America to prevent another revolt. Garifuna settlements were set up and still exist in what are now Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras including the Bay Islands.

GUARDIAN OF CERAMICS: KARATSU CASTLE, SAGA PREFECTURE JAPAN
The Castle is located on the a commanding hilltop on the seafront in Karastu, a resort city about an hour away from Fukuoka and a couple of hours from Nagasaki. It is an easy walk from the main railway station, and for those driving there is parking nearby.
