Writer Biography

Lana wrote her first book at the age of 7. It was a 6 page book of poems and illustrations done by hand and tied together with ribbon. She grew up with a love of words and has always been a voracious reader.

She studied journalism in college, along with desktop publishing and computer science. After 15 years as a professional musician, her love of animals led her to become a dog groomer, trainer, and obedience instructor and wrote all her own training manuals. She spent several years as a reporter, photographer and columnist for the Haverhill Gazette and was published in several magazines including New England Obedience News, Dog Fancy and Bird Fancy.

She has recently retired to a life of fiber crafts, weaving and writing.
