Writer Biography
Mary Ylisela began writing professionally in 1996 while working as a teacher. Now a full-time freelance writer, she writes for clients with needs ranging from web content articles to promotional literature. Since focusing solely on freelance writing in early 2009, Ylisela has published over 3,000 pieces in venues such as USAToday.com and The Houston Chronicle online. She has also ghost-written articles and web content for entertainment and lifestyle venues.
Based in Chicago but writing wherever she happens to be in the world, her second love after writing is travel, a passion she indulges in as often as possible.
Ylisela's first book, a work of non-fiction, has a target publishing date set for mid-2012. She hopes to write a portion of the book while sipping cappuccino in Italy.
