Writer Biography

I have worked as a Freelance Writer for my local newspaper, Canarsie Courier, for over 6 years and have written over 50 articles for them. Features include travel articles, local history, and human interest stories.

I have extensive and varied travel experience which includes all types of travel: adventure and nature travel, multi-sport tours, organized tours, eco-tours, national parks, all-inclusive resort destinations, timeshares, cruising, and recreation and leisure (skiing, golfing, hiking, etc.).

I like to think of myself as a “Four Seasons” traveler and writer. I love all four seasons and the unique travel opportunities that each season brings. I love to ski in the winter, hike in the fall, bike, golf, and kayak in the spring, and relax on the beach under blue summer skies.

I have completed many courses by American Writers & Artists Inc. (AWAI) which include The Ultimate Travel Writers Workshop, The Ultimate Travel Photographer’s Workshop (including Travel Guidebook Writing), Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting, and Build Your Freelance Website in Four Days Express Webinar Series. I have recently added a blog to my website.

In addition to writing for the Courier, I have also written for AWAI, GoColorado.com, WCities, Austin-Lehman Adventures, Gifted Travel, the National Ski Club Newsletter, and International Living - The World's Best Destinations (New York City).
