Annie Silvering

Freelance Writer

Annie Silvering has a wide range of interests and views. Annie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Computer Science and a Masters of Divinity degree. As both a scientist and a minister, Annie works full time as a hospice chaplain and bereavement coordinator. She has the unique ability to pull together the “left brain” with the “right brain” thought.

Annie has the rare ability to reconcile the physical with the spiritual. While certain spiritual concepts defy human understanding of the physical, Annie is able to allow faith to enter into the equation and is comfortable that some questions simply do not have answers.

Annie's writing is a blend of inspiration, humor and often pulls in all those things humanity regards as fact. Her political and religious views are self-described as "militant moderate," however Annie admits that the recent polarization of both politics and religion tends to more often land her into the progressive or liberal camps.

Annie is available to write articles of inspiration or action. Her passions include equality in health care and other basic human rights. Her work in the health care industry immerses her in many of the inequities that exist within the current health care system.

In addition, Annie is an avid advocate for basic civil rights for all persons, most recently championing causes for people in the LGBT communities. As a survivor of domestic violence, Annie also has a desire to put a face on the victim and awareness in the community of this threat to the physical and mental health of at least one in four people in this country.
