Dina is scholar in American and Native American/Indigenous Studies. She holds a BA in Native American Studies from the University of New Mexico and a MA in American Studies from the same school. She works as a Research Associate at the Center for World Indigenous Studies and is a freelance journalist/columnist and frequent contributor to Indian Country Today Media Network, the top source for news in Native America. She has contributed to Native Peoples Magazine on topics of NA culture and arts. Additionally, she is the copy editor for the academic publication Fourth World Journal, and is currently editing a section of the South Atlantic Quarterly (a publication of Duke University Press).
