Writer Biography

I specialize in Creative Non Fiction.

My first professional writing experience happened in the late 1960s. I was a grade school student and very interested in the 'happenings' of the era. Inspired by the Berkeley Barb and the Haight Ashbury Oracle, I began my own neighborhood newspaper, The Cul de Sac. Every issue was typed, three pages at a time with carbon paper, and I hand-drew cartoons and illustrations. Publication lasted one wonderful summer.

In the 1980s, my writing interests turned to gag writing. Several of the bumper sticker and refrigerator magnet slogans I devised back then can be seen on the backs of cars and trucks to this day.

In the 1990s, I became fascinated with all things internet and found ways to earn free time on America Online by writing movie reviews and trivia Q&A. It wasn't long before I was researching, writing and moderating my own weekly trivia game in the Writers Club area of AOL. That position lasted about five years. When Time Warner bought AOL, I discontinued my game and left the service.

Nowadays (and nights) I earn my keep on this round planet as a freelance writer of virtually anything. I have been a professional ghostwriter, SEO content writer and deliverer of exceptional inbound marketing copy since 2000. I've written and sold thousands of unique articles for many hundreds of clients.

Need a great blog post? I'm your monkey!

From 2008 to 2014, I was the only native English-speaking writer in the employ of a global SEO developer. They sold an "SEO robot" that managed all aspects of search engine optimization. Everything was done by machine, except for textual content. That was up to me, and I became very adept at determining proper keywords and long-tail keyword phrases and composing unique content around them.

Today, I write full time and do whatever research is required to come up with perfect content that's both attractive to search engines and interesting to human readers. I can write in formal or casual style, as per your specifications.
